There are lots of good single Black men out there - in Atlanta and everywhere else. You are probably looking the wrong places.
Also you might be picking the wrong type of men - you say you've been meeting Down Low brothas, thugs, men who smoke marijuana and married guys.
Where do you meet these losers?
You want to stop going there to meet men, because you know what you're going to get!
Find new places to go, places where intelligent heterosexual men who don't use drugs or have wives or commit crimes hang out.
Also, you need to be proactive - instead of waiting for brothers to approach you, YOU should make the first move. With a lot of shy guys, that's the ONLY way you'll be able to meet them, since they will not come to you (only the gay men, thugs, potheads and married guys will - and you've had your fill of them).

I moved about 12 years ago. LOL
I lived in Atlanta for about 5 years and IN Atlanta, you'll find the majority are just as you described BUT there are some there that is appealing to you and are just what you're looking for. I'm not a "brother" but I can relate. Don't give up, they are out there you just have to be patent and look and chances are they will find you instead of you finding them and it's going to be when you least expect it.
Have you tried Little Five Points ot the malls?
Good luck and have fun.

men are creatures buy nature they tend to flock together just as women do they don't really want a serious relationship and they are scared of a platonic relationship because of there significant others distrust with a woman and vice verse a jealous thing hang in there you will prevail! they are out there keep looking and be blessed.

all the good ones are taken and women are jealous of a man having a good female friend they think they are always out to get laid people don't know that you can have true friends who are the opposite sex and nothing going on but friendship
