I tried talking to him about friends and lovers, and how I don't really need to date anyone, because i already have a lot of friends and i can fill the sexual lover void at a club or bar on the weekend. For some reason the conversation got the point where he said he hopes to care for me and vice versa. What does that mean?

i said that was the reason i was dating him, because i care about him, but other wise i'd be single because its hard to find someone that is just a friend and lover

why dont u ask him??
if you cannot be open enough with him and trust his answers then he is not the one for you.

Well first of all have you met the guy. If not be very careful what you say and don't ever agree to meet him one on one. if you know him think about how you really feel

i think that he just cares for you a lot. he probably sees that you aren't ready to get married.
