accually i have a medical book with me ( studying to become medical student) and it says:
tetanus is something that causes your muscles to tighten. you can get it from an injury or dirty wound but mostly from rusty metal getting into your blood stream. i highly doubt that you hav tetanus expecially if in the last ten years you had a shot for it but just to make sure i would go to the doctor as soon asyou can. i hole this helps good luck :]

You can get tetanus from almost anywhere. It used to be the thought that it came from rusted metal, but the truth is that once there is a break in the skin (cuts, abrasions) you become susceptable. There is a less then 1% chance of getting it, however, we still immunize ourselves every 10 years. 5 years if you sustained a nasty cut like from table saws or car accidents.
Since your jaw is sore and hurts to open is a area of concern. Lock Jaw comes from a tetanus infection and is the first sign of a potentially very serious condition. You may want to call your doctor if your symptoms aren't resolved with any over the counter medications like Advil. I'm aware of one case in which the infection progressed into a persons brain and has suffered permanent brain damage. This adult now has the mental capacity of a 6 year old. Hope this helps, feel free to email me if you have any other questions.

you may no longer purely guess once you're up as much as now. you need to understand for particular. examine your information or have your mom and dad call the healthcare expert to be sure. you desire a tetanus ever 10 years. in case you don't understand, you need to circulate get the shot. After that, save tract of your vaccinations and once you acquire them. Oh btw, once you get a tetanus shot nowdays, you would be getting a whooping cough vaccine in with it, so as this is solid too. do you need to inform somebody, particular you need to, tell your mom and dad.

See a doctor and find out. I know that gardeners can get it working in the dirt so it is probably possible.
