I seldom lie because I am afraid I might forget what I have said. The only time I can lie without regret is if I am out to spare someone's feelings. As far as the rest of the world, I can not account for others. In business and interpersonal relationships, I have noted that some people will lie when the truth would do better.

I try not to lie, however I always tell the children that things are good for them like going to bed really early or conversely getting up late. I tell them about the tooth fairy and Father Christmas. I tell my father I am financially sound, so he doesn't worry about me and my husband that dinner was great even if I didn't like it. I basically lie to make people happy. Is that such a bad thing? I don't think so as I don't feel that anyone is getting hurt. The truth hurts and I don't want to hurt those that I love! Everytime I have told the truth in a situation that really matters to somone, they have been hurt, what is the point of that? 99% of the time they know the truth anyway, why make them feel worse? I think I shall continue in this vein thank you. Be happy.

I told the truth about ten minutes ago. Many people tell lies to get the attention of stubborn people who refused to beleive them that they were telling the truth in the first place. Also some people would sooner tell a lie to get the privilages that others have. Now i'm an average sort of person and the other day while travelling on a virgin train...i met a very good friend of mine who is SIR RICHARD BRANSON. After we had a good chat I went to switzerland where I have loads of money in a swiss bank......Do you beleive me.

if you are with someone you really love and are at ease with then there is no reason to lie. If you cant be arsed to tell the truth then how the hell do you know who you are! personally hate lies. Had a gutfull of 'em from an ex to such an extent that he turned out to be a different person.

You need trust else ull never be happy.

God Im far too philosophical today......note to self.....get some alcohol down my neck! lol

If you start every sentence with the word "I" (as in: I feel ______, or I think ______, you can never be accused of lying because you will be stating an opinion. The opinion may be based on misinformation, or narrow mindedness, or just plain stupidity, but the fact that it is your opinion is the truth. The "LIE" comes when you won't open your mind and heart to the facts that don't support your opinion.

As far as winning the world?...My grandmother used to say: "Quit trying to please EVERYONE...Jesus was PERFECT, and look what they did to HIM"!

I try to be honest in all situations. The only time I'm not as truthful is when it will hurt someone's feelings to be truthful

I do my best to always tell the truth, because you can't get tripped up in the truth, you can only get tripped up in a lie.

Not to sound too philosophical, but i read somewhere that "real truth" can technically not be applied to many 'true' statements... or something to that effect.

Personally, i think it's best to tell the truth but sometimes you have to tell it sparingly... or just not.

Why do you write such hard questions?

do you realise that your question has 1 sentence for like 5 lines? i had to read it many times ^o^

It is probably best to lie.

I have been accused of being too truthful, by my wife of all people. So what is that all about?

It seems we live in a world where the more dishonest you are the better things go for you.

I always tell the truth, or at least as much of it as is appropriate. Honesty really is the best policy
