The human body will stop most of those rounds, especially if the the bullet is traveling lengthwise down the body. Different sniper rifles fire different calibers, and all three examples may fire anything from frangible to armor-piercing.

Kevlar body armour or vest will stop the AK and Armalite but as a long range sniper specialist class I am afraid my weapon is designed to punch clean through Kevlar and even medium armour such as a light personnel carrier. Though a shot from a great distance will be stopped by the vest and it also has a good chance of stopping a round from the L97A1 Sniper rifle issued by the British Army.

Steel tank.
An AK 47 round will pass right through a bullet proof vest and out the other side.
But it will bounce off a tank. and a stone wall.
So if you are up against any of the above mentioned weapons body armour will slow you down. it will stop a low velocity round from a pistol, but the new five 7 five pistol is reputed to penetrate police body armour.
Basicly if you are in the zone where bullets are flying, stay in the tank.

While serving in Northern Ireland I actually see a wet blanket hanging over a washing line stop 2 AK47 bullets. Sorry but I didn't hang around to see if it was wool, nylon or Kevlar.

A cop friend of mine put a bullet proof vest around a telephone pole and shot it with an AK - the round went through the front panel of the vest, through the pole, and out the back of the back panel and down the street! I'm told an AK round will go through a cinder block but not through a brick wall on first shot. And THAT's all I know about it!

Which sniper rifle?
M24 or the Barrett?
M14 is 7.62
Barrett is 50 cal.
Kevlar composite will stop up to 7.62 which is everything from the M24 down. AK is 7.62 and the M4/M16 is 5.56.
Nothing stops a Barrett.
If you hear the shot, you're still alive.

Well, since you already got all of the serious answers...
A wall of white hot steel, 6 ft thick with another wall of cooled steel 5 ft thick should stop them.. the first wall melts them and the second one splatters them for no penetration...
Air.. that was a good answer.. several miles of air between you and the sniper...
Darkness.. hard to hit anything with no light...
Corners.. hard to shoot around a corner.. or two...
and finally.. a genuine Smile! who would WANT to shoot a happy person?

Kevlar, a metal cross and a pocket version of the Holy Bible (think of the movie "The Three Musketeers" for the last two) for all of the above.

Many types of vest on market.
Good for shrapnel or low velocity rounds.
Not many you would trust against a high velocity weapon.
A lot depends on luck.
Kevlar would be one of the best bets.
Better wearing one, than not.
Good luck keep your head down.
