It's an interesting quote, but somehow a bit generic. It could also be used for: the goodness of people, the evil of people, *any* product in advertising, the beauty of Africa, the horrors in Africa, the severity of pollution, etcetera, etcetera.
Confucius said: 'I hear and I forget. I see and I remember. I experience and I understand.'

I think it emphasizes the impact that living through something, in this case, God's love has on someone versus just having heard or read about it. I believe he has a good point there.
Peace and Love to you, too!

As I have always felt. Living after God is about Action. To experience it is from someone doing. This is much better than hearing only. It truly emphasizes why God sent Christ. Christ is action. He said, and he did. Now those that live after him will do the same. They will do!

You may be told that someone loves you or even if that person tells you over and over that they love you, but if you don't experience it, love will not grow in you. In God's case, His love is seen and felt daily, in His word and his creation.

I think this is very valid and truthful quote, and can actually apply to almost anything. What we experience for ourselves is always more strong and realistic than what someone else can tell us in mere words about their own experience.

That is a typical reaction of the selfish part in all of us. We are listening but were not hearing, if it doesnt affect us directly we really dont care.
