If you have been learning the material during the semester, a review of your notes from the lecture and reading assignments, and review the quizzes and midterm exam should be sufficient. If you haven't learned the material during the semester, you can't learn it in a cram session the night before the final. Start reviewing your notes a couple of days before the final and on the night before the final, relax with friends and get a good nights sleep.

The best way that I've found to study is to make an outline of the course material and to as extra detail to the areas your not as strong in.

What works for me is to totally stop reading and get a notebook and pencil. Number the paper and take the chapter quizzes over and over until you're scoring close to 100%. It's gotten me absolutely EVERYWHERE in life.
