Looking at taking a road trip from Alberta to Calafornia, forgive me if my spelling is incorrect. Like to have a website that calculates

gives me 1700 miles 2800 km
From center of Alberta to center of California.
California is around 1,000 miles long and Alberta is also a large area

From Calgary to San Francisco - 1300 miles
From Edmoton to San Diago - 1800 miles about 26 hours
From Lethbridge to Crescent city - 1050 miles

I have found Yahoo Maps useful in planning road trips.
Or go to AMA (Alberta Motor Association) if you're a member.
I have found mapquest highly inaccurate-I don't think they know Canada.

You can start with Yahoo maps,MSN maps, Google earth. Plus they all have 3 diferent views. A map,satelite and a hibrid. Enjoy!

A good road atlas would give you maps and miles beween cities
