im 25 and a few weeks back i noticed a grey hair for the first time so i plucked it out and didnt think too much about it, but this morning i noticed another one, then i searched around through my hair a nd found a few more . now im getting a bit stressed about it. iv never dyed my hair before and was hoping it would be a while yet before i would need to dye my hair on a continuous basis.
so im wondering how long does it take before a few strands turned into completely or mostly grey . ok im sure it differs from person to person,, but in general is a few grey hairs mean its all turning grey now or could i have feew more years til it starts completely grey. and also what age do most ppl start greying, cos i didnt think it would be something i needed to worry about yet until i found the grey hairs

When I was 16, my friends would find grey hairs and pluck them out for me on the school bus.
By the time I was 30 I was over 90% grey, but I've been colouring my hair regularly since I was 20 or 21. There are a lot of good products out there for colouring your own hair at home and it's fun. You might need a friend to help you, so make a night of it. Order some pizza, colour each others hair and have a good time. I know it's traumatizing, but there are worse things than grey hair.

A gray strand or two is nothing to worry about. Many people, men and women, get a few strands in the twenties and even their teens!
Know that you will not wake up gray tomorrow. You have some years for that.
If you have beautiful hair, do not put it through the dyeing process yet. Its not neccessary or time yet. There will be plenty of time for dyeing your hair in 10- 20 years
Enjoy your wonderful locks.... even the 1 or 2 that dont look like the others!

Ask your Mom and Dad. This is a genetic thing for the most part. And just because you found a few doesn't mean you have to start coloring your hair if you don't want to. You could gray quickly or slowly...it all depends. In my family all the women (on my Mom's side) gray early and are "salt & pepper" for a long time. I have been fighting the gray since I was 19...I joke around that "Loving Care" (hair color) is my best friend. It all boils down to what you want to do and what makes you feel good.

I'm 25 also and I've had grey hairs for several years now. My family believes that grey hair is a sign of wisdom. A few strands does not mean that you are about to turn completely gray.

If you pluck a few strands of your hair out and look at them through a magnifying glass you will see they are not all the same colour. Don't worry about a few grey ones yet! People don't go grey at the same age so there's no answer to that. If you are so worried you could buy a sachet of wash in colour. The colour lasts for about six to eight shampoos and will tint the grey out. Buy a colour near your own. Or you could go and have high and low lights put in at your hairdressers.

Grey hair is hereditary, if a parent had early graying so will you. I had an aunt who went white by 25 and I'm 59 and only salt and pepper, while my husband who's the same age is silver. If your hair is very dark, you will see those grey hairs faster because they will be more obvious than if you are blond. My father was 70 and he had only a few streaks in his very black hair and it looked wonderful. So, you see, its really all over the board and at any rate its nothing to get upset about. If you want to cover it, its easy enough, and if you like it, you can let it go.

you've still got a few years. Dont worry some people just have strands of grey but that does not mean that you are gonna wake up with a white head tomorrow. You will be fine....dont dye your hair unless you really need to because if you have never dyed it before you must have really nice healthy hair and you wouldnt want to mess it up.

Well I am a male and just happy to have lots of hair at 51, it is graying but hey it is still hair. I suggest you color you hair as close to your natural color as possible if you are going to let it bother you. It will take a few more year before anyone is going to notice it most likely. Just use a good shampoo that is suppose to keep you hair healthy.

It does vary from person to person. but i would say you still have a few years before you have to worry aobut coloring your hair. Gray hair is a mess to color. It doesn't hold color very well and it damages it to no end. You shouldn't get too stressed. I"m not sure if it's true but i heard stress could cause gray hair.
