Has anyone used BEARSHARE to download music etc. If so were there any problems. Have heard mixed views and would just like some confirmation before I sign up

bearshare will put spyware & slow your system.http://www.limewire.com/ is the most used free file sharing site. make sure you have anti virus running before swapping any files. the free edition of avg available from http://free.grisoft.com/freeweb.php/doc/2/ does a good job. once you have installed limewire do a search for limewire pro. then install this and delete the original. pro is faster.

I have used it in the past, only as a last resort though.
I found that after using & completing a anti spy I found several infected files.
I would use LIMEWIRE, at least you're told if the file contains an infected file, rather than downloading it & finding out later.

I would not use any file sharing program and as one person said never use Limewire if you decide to use a sharing program. I have never used Bear Share, but my friend has and he got viruses even though it says no viruses and p2p legal. It is tempting to use because otherwise you have to pay $0.99 but personally it is the best way to go because you get a great quality of sound as well as legal music. It's really your call I would just be very carful. I hope that I helped you.
