Travelling from Germany - England - Ireland with a mix of companies. Wondering if it´s allowed to take bathroom scales (to weigh myself on) in either hand luggage or checked luggage. Any help, thanks.

You'll be able to bring it through just fine. Here is a list of what you can and cannot bring with you:

Keep in mind, most hotels will have a scale that they will put in your room if you just ask for one

It should be fine in checked luggage. They might inspect your bag before they load it on the plane, but they will most likely let it through. Hand luggage might be a bit of a hassle just because it's an unusual item to take on board like that and it could easily be a bomb or something. I once took an antique clock as hand luggage and was allowed to take it on - but only after close inspection. If you want to be absolutely sure, check the websites of the airlines you're flying with and/or ask them by e-mail/phone.

Checked luggage should be fine.

I don't understand why you'd want to carry that extra weight and bulk w/ you through airports around the world -- isn't it bad enough to carry a computer?
