it looks bad again. I looked on-line and what I saw, I didn't like...cancer. He is only 3 mo. old tho!! I took him in for a visit at the vet, it was healing over at that time and she said it looked fine. I'm worried, any insights?

When my cat was a baby, he got a small scratch on his nose when he stuck it outside to sniff my outside cat. The sore kept betting bigger because he kept licking off the scab. My vet said to put chapstick on it but that just made him hate me for hurting his nose more (it's 2 years later and he's just starting to let me touch him again). I stopped doing it and, although it took several weeks, it DID clear up by itself. It will probably get really ugly but as long as he's eating and drinking, don't worry. I took pictures of my cat's progression during this nasty time, you can e-mail me (see my About Me) page if you'd like to see some. Good luck and be patient.

You didn't mention if you have other cats, or if your kitty is exposed to other cats. Kittens that age are notoriously curious, and are constantly getting "taught lessons" by other cats, which could mean getting scratched on the nose. If she already had a lesion, then the area may be extra sensitive.
If the vet saw it and wasn't worried about it being cancerous, I wouldn't worry. Just keep an eye on it, and if it doesn't go away in a week, go back to the vet.

Listen to the vet, but if the lesions come back, take him back to the vet. But also, don't trust medical advice online. Self-diagnosis isn't a good idea, as it could be a completely different condition than you think it is. A professional is needed to make a proper diagnosis.

Listen to the vet and if it doesn't heal in a coupke of weeks then take the kitten back to the vet and see if they will do some more tests. Vets usually know what they are talking about.

truthfully generic. i theory an identical concern while my daughter became that age she became dealing with like 3-4 bibs an afternoon on regularly occurring! sooner or later at daycare she went thrugh 8 lol! i became particular it became too early for her to be teething yet i could no longer think of of the rest. some toddlers are in simple terms super slobbery i assume (my peanut being one in all them) :)! She is 5 months now and already has a tooth so it must be on its way presently!

Most things you use on your self for scraps and cuts can be used on animals, the cut might just start to itch, like your cuts do when they heal, try putting Vaseline on to keep it from drying out so much.

It's probably like a birthmark. If it is cancer, I'm so sorry. But like babies, when they have a birthmark, it's a big lumpy mole that they may have for weeks, months, or years. I'm sure it will be fine, just watch it.

Vets generally know what they are doing. Just watch for any changes in it. Smile!
