My mom has us all worried because she is very stubborn and she will not go to the doctor. Christmas day she had this shooting pain all the way up her spine and to her neck, it debilitated her for a few seconds but she was ok. She is also complaining of a stiff neck and shoulder, she's tired all the time so she never wants to go shopping or do things that we used to do all the time, she doesn't eat well and she vomits when she sees bad stuff, when she thinks about it or if she eats to much, sometimes she does it for no apparent reason she used to not be that way, its not anemia she takes medicine for that. I can't figure it out. HELP!

I am 25 and I've never heard of her complaining of these problems throughout the years. My grandmother died back in November, she had a bad stroke last January and my mom moved in with her to take care of her so she wouldn't have to go into a nursing home. She took care of her for 10 months, my grandmother was eventually put under hospice care. My mom still lives in my grandmothers house, she lived and passed away there, I think there is something that has to do with maybe mental because she lives in that house?

Id like to be able to help but Im sure you already know your mum needs to see a doctor.
Try talking to her, tell her you are really worried about her health and its affecting you too. Have you got another family member you can talk to who will support you in this. You cannot do this alone, especially if you are young. Good luck;

Shooting pains anywhere---especially the back--sounds like a pinched nerve. Maybe her spine is out of alignment- which can cause stomach problems.
If it were me, I would see a chiropractor IMMEDIATELY.
I too hate to go to doctors because I've found not all of them know about the spine. If she doesn't want to go to a chiropractor, at least go to a neurologist and get the spine checked for abnormality.

If she is taking medication for anemia, she has been to a doctor. If she is taking medication without a doctor's diagnosis, she is just plain foolish, or cannot afford the doctor. You cannot force her to go to a doctor, but you can encourage her to do so.

I have back trouble's from time to time.Our back doesn't get the exercise it needs and when we do things that it's not ready for we strain it.She needs to exercise her back to get it into shape.She should go to a chiropractor about it.She is typical in not wanting to go to the Doc's.Tell her if she doesn't go something may occur and by then it could be to late.

Best thing is to consult with a doctor.

she probably has a heart illness...or her stomach...or her bones...or a combination of this.

either way, she definitely and urgently needs to see a doctor.
