Both, I have two of each. They live in the same house and get along well. I can't say the cats or the dogs are better. They have their place and they all show their love for us every day. The dogs will protect the cats and amazingly the cats also will protect the dogs. All of them talk to me and tell me many things each day.
Cats and dogs are fine company and well worth winning their trust. You can not fake it either. They know who can be trusted and who can't.

Without a doubt DOGS are the best, you could not pay me to own a cat. A dog offers a 100 times more companionship, they are loyal, intelligent and trainable, carry way fewer diseases than cats, and you actually matter to a dog, a cat could careless if you are there or not. NOt only do dogs offer better companioship but they also offer protection. I had cats and that was strictly barn cats to catch mice.

The both have advantages and disadvantages. I have both, but prefer dogs.
Cats- don't care about you, leave you alone They go to the bathroom in the litter box. You don't have to worry about them when you go out and can even leave them if you go away for the weekend with just a friend popping by to check in on them.
Dogs- The will love you unconditionally and are so happy to see you. You have to take them outside to pee and worry about leaving them. If you go away for the weekend, you have to kennel them. They will make you happy when you are sad and their little faces will listen to you any time.

I would perfer dogs because you can train them to save peoples lives and cats can't.

dogs defo, i had a cat and it didnt like me at all, but i av 3 dogs and i couldnt live without them..... you get a great bond with dogs like my dogs know when there's somethin on my mind or i'm upset. i love my dogs to bits.
