Sometimes dreams are precognitive, sometimes they help us work out issues, and sometimes they are just our mind at play. Dreams can be totally in the imagination or allow our astral body (sort of like our soul) to wander the world and more. That's the basic explanation, anyway.

Some dreams become true only because the dreamer makes every possible effort to turn it into a reality. Others are just inner-reflections of your own yearningss, desires, fantasies and wishes, and your brain is preparing you for the forthcoming -emotions . These can be positive or negative ..or just neutral. I once have this dream that i have written a book. I saw it, but I just couldn't remember its content. Later on, I became obsessedd with the idea. If it ever happen it has been because i have put my efforts, and energies into it, and nothing magical about it. In short, you can help dreams become realities.

Well I believe that dreams are mystical....just as I do about the entire body and function of any human being. However I do not think that they are "supernatural". Dreams can show us future outcomes of events....but only based on what we already know or expect. The value in this is that you can often see where you will end up if you stay on your current course. There are also dreams that are fragments of thoughts and nonsense. Those that you should pay attention to seem to be much more vivid and real or occur over and over again. This means your subconcious is working overtime on something and is trying to get your attention.

Elliot and Tom are correct, it's just the brain processing off info and releasing some steam. I've read dreams are a way for the mind to relax because when we are awake it has to make sense of everything. Whem we sleep, it's the chance for the mind to "play and relax". It does so by letting all kinds of unrelated material mix around, like a big soup. That's why dreams can make some sense but in other ways be totally outrageous.
This makes sense to me.

Dreams are manifestations of your subconscious thoughts. Any predictions from your dreams are based on things you already knew.
For example, if you knew you were going to the dentist in a few days, you might dream about going to the dentist. But the dream would only describe thoughts you have had about how the appointment might turn out. So while the dream may correctly predict some things, it's just as coincidental as if you were to consciously think about what might happen at your dental appointment.
If you want to know more about dreams, I suggest asking about them in the psychology section, there is nothing religious or spiritual about them.

Yes dreams can be related to the future but they can also be related to a tv show or something you ate, even a patch to stop smoking. If you have dreams and read the bible then you should know the time we are living in you must ask for the interpretation of the dream if you don't already know it and are afraid to admit it.
God has not given others interpretations of others dreams,he will give it to you.

I heard (or read) someplace that dreaming is your brains way of trying to link all of your new information (taken in that day) to the old information already in your brain... so that you can make sense of the world without going crazy (oops! too late!)...
Your dreams can also concentrate on things that you are worried about during the day and your brain is still working out ways to solve the problem in a better fashion...
I used to dream about my homework and I would dream up the answers.. took me a while to realize it and I started keeping a writing tablet and pencil next to my bed so I could wake up and write them down.. after a while I did not wake up.. just wrote them in my sleep (which is HARD to read)

Dreams are simply television in your head. Its the mind at rest, with the imagination still working. (Which is why they can be so bizarre at times.)
Anyone claiming to be able to "interpret" your dream is probably a con artist just trying to get your money.

Dreams are like a Disk Cleanup of the brain. A bunch of unnecessary files get gathered up, then your brain says, "You can free up space by deleting these." Then it shows you all the crap and basically purges it. Then it defrags. There's nothing supernatural about them, they're a brain function.

Think about it, most of your dreams can be related to something, or some past or coming event that has your conscious attention.
