Ok so I'm a 16 yo guy and I've had this friend since I was 14. I never really treated her like someone I'd like to date but this has changed just recently. And now that I've started spending more time with her, one day she just starts to almost completely ignore me and be rather mean.
She insists everything is fine and is evasive...
What gives?? Does anyone know what is in her mind more or less?

Does you have a somewhat mutual friend that she would confide in? Chances are she is just going to keep up with her actions, and never tell you what the issue is. Ask one of her friends what the deal is with her. This type of situation has happened to me from time to time. Good luck dude!

Give her some space and time. Do not be after her. She is evasive probably she had too much of you. the only extreme possibility could be that she has some one on mind. But that would be too much to think into. Do not ever get negative vibes. Speak to her and ask her if there is anything in her mind. Try to think whether you have done anything which has hurt her. Used any harsh words or had a fight with her. The only solution is to speak to her frankly. Do not worry about the fact that you may loose her but do try to find out what is in her mind and clear any misunderstanding. It will relieve her as well and I am sure she will be with you.

It's all part of growing up, i used to hang out with these two brothers all the time. I spent so much time at there house i had my own pillow and sheets there, but as we got older we started to like different things and started hanging out with different people. This can be a good time to look around for a new group of Friends, of all the people i knew since high school the only one i still know is my girlfriend. Moving on and things changing is what life is all about, try something new with new people it may open up new doors to you.

Ask her for a date. It could be she likes you and hurt because you have not asked her on a date. Doing things together and a date is 2 different things. You will then find out how she feels. She my want to date you or want to go different way but you will know

she probably likes someone and she doesnt want to be around you a lot so it doesnt look like both of you are dating...
