You were probably led to believe that it was the only "True Church."
Counterfeit Christianity is probably the best description I can give for a cult. Counterfeit Christianity is an imitation of real Christianity. Bible terms like "Jesus Christ, Resurrection, Salvation, and Atonement" are used by the Cult, but entirely different meanings have been assigned to these terms by the various cult groups.
Like counterfeit money which is sometimes difficult to detect, so it is difficult to detect counterfeit Christianity, since it looks like the real thing. Experts examining counterfeit money often hold it up to a strong light and look for identifying marks. Counterfeit Christianity also has identifying marks which can be seen when held up to an even stronger light, the light of God's word, the bible.
We are at an advantage if we know what to expect from a cult. Cultists are very well trained to appear "Christian", and indeed believe they are the true church, and you need the deliverance! Therfore, be bold and ask the question, "Do you believe the group you represent is the only true church on the face of the earth?"
If they reply that they are, or if they are evasive, making remarks like "Well, every church has a measure of truth but...", you have made an early detection of a Cultist.
Every true Chistian, if asked the same question, regardless of his denomination, would reply that the true church is comprised of believers in the Lord Jesus Christ, and HE (not some organization) is THE WAY, THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE, (John 14:6). No legitimate denomonation would claim that they alone and their members have salvation exclusively, but the cults (the counterfeits) do.

Things of the Spirit are understood only by the spirit. Jesus taught that the Spirit testifies of truth (John 14:26), and Joseph Smith, when asked what distinguishes the Mormon church from others of his time, answered "the Holy Ghost".
I believe you embraced Mormonism because you felt the Spirit there. It is of course difficult to explain this as the "fruits of the Spirit" are not easily understood through reason (i.e. someone can't say, "No, you didn't feel such a thing," or, "No, you never experienced that." - only you can answer those questions) (Gal. 5:22-23).
And I'm sure you have experienced that testimony from the Spirit is not easily shaken or dismissed. I believe you may have felt the Spirit urging you to follow and that's why you feel/think the way you do about the Mormon church. Best of luck to you; I hope you find the answers you are seeking!

It is the fastest growing form of Christianity. Of course, not all Christians believe it is a form of Christianity, but these are people who believe in a Bible that was put together by a commission set up by a Pagan Emperor to stop his Christian people from killing each other, and which ultimately was approved by said Emperor. Whereas the Book of Mormon was dictated by an Angel, and how can you argue with that? The Quran was also dictated by and Angel, but long before the Book of Mormon. Where as the Bible was, as I said, put together by a Pagan.
The Mormon church is very family oriented, gives lots of support not only to their own, but to non-believers, or Gentiles as they put it. If I could believe again, I would also join.
But I don't.

Perhaps it was the best church for you just as the Catholic Church is the best church for me out of all the Christian churches.
No church is perfect. But you should attend the church that is most comfortable for you. If you believe in the teachings of the Latter-Day Saints, no one should question your choice.
As long as you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour, obey the Ten Commandments, have faith and perform service to others, helping those who need it, you will be doing what the Lord asks of you.

Simple. Because it is. It is the most complete religion on the earth. We have the fulness of the gospel, all other churches have bits and pieces and really good things, just not all of it, which we as Latter-day Saints, believe has been restored back to the earth through Joseph Smith by the power of God.
You should really start going back to church, it's the best thing in the whole world! Have you ever seen that picture of Christ that has the saying on it "I never said it would be easy, I only said it would be worth it."
(Well, who knows if he actually ever said that) But, it's true, living this gospel is and will be worth it...
good luck.

Your allowed to feel and think it's the best. If it gives you a good feeling, go ahead follow it. The end result will be "it brought you closer to God" who cares if your church is the best, it's our attempt to reach and feel God in our lives that's most important. Question now, why are you not going?, must be some inner bad feeling that you can't come to grips with in regards to not attending. There's always a reason behind our actions. I'll say a little prayer for you, so that the light may shine in your life again.

The terms mormon and Christian do not go together. And it is very evident that you haven't set foot in a Bible believing church in a great while.
You have some extremely strange beliefs! Please read the Bible and compare what God has to say to what YOU imagine.

It would be good for you to know why you went because you and God know your motives, but I don't. My parents made me go when I was elmentary age. When I was a teenager, I went back to it for 3 months because I was invited and it was familiar. That's when I realized it was counterfiet.
If you knew who Jesus is and worshipped Him as God, you would be a Christian and you would be in the best church ever (not one that just seems good.)
But, Mormons don't believe in this Jesus or the Christian religion and doctrines. They have established their own kingdom which is based on carnal things, not Christian.

The church is a cult and hates all other churchs. I was in a Mormon sunday school and the teacher started saying that all churches other than the Mormon church were false.

the concern is "Christians" for some reason think of LDS practice a "fake gospel"... properly, we practice that Jesus is the Son of God, that He suffered and died for our sins, that He rose on the third day breaking the bonds of demise for all, that he's the Savior and Redeemer... so if it truly is the "fake gospel" - what are you gaining knowledge of on your church??? We have faith all church homes practice some good, some fact, purely no longer all of it. We have faith the full gospel is got here upon in the LDS church. i think of all church homes could desire to coach the gospel no longer practice "who isn't" coaching the gospel.. why spend it gradual bashing individuals, ask your self what spirit they are coaching with?? for my section, i think of it incredibly is lame. My dad is going to a baptist church and that they continuously get anti-mormon literature it truly is stuffed with 0.5-truths and flat out lies. do no longer you think of it incredibly is exciting that notably plenty any church available - Christian a minimum of - is "ok" of their minds... it incredibly is like "purely" the LDS church is undesirable?? isn't that some form of sign, that the LDS church is being singled-out via *somebody* who is familiar with it incredibly is authentic??????? MY very own opinion is because of the fact devil is familiar with the LDS church is composed of the fullness of the gospel and blinds others so as that they do no longer.
