If you've already made the decision, what are you waiting for?

Go for it!

I am thankful that you realize you have not been living right, and that it is time for a change. One of life's hardest lessons is that we can't change the past. When we're young, we seldom think about the future—but once we start down a wrong path, we have to live with the consequences. The Bible warns that "the way of the unfaithful is hard" (Proverbs 13:15).

No, you can't change the past—but listen: With God's help, you can change the future. And God wants your future to be different because He loves you and wants what's best for you. In fact, He loves you so much that He sacrificed His own Son so you could be forgiven. He also wants to put you on a new path—the path of following Christ. He doesn't want you to spend the rest of your life mired in hopelessness and regret.

This is why I urge you to take your past and put it at the foot of the cross. Give it to Jesus—all of it—and ask Him to cleanse and forgive you. Jesus said, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28).

Then ask God to begin changing you from within by His Spirit. God's promise is for you: "I will turn their mourning into gladness; I will give them comfort and joy instead of sorrow" (Jeremiah 31:13). Open your life to Christ today.

This is what to do....
1) Believe that Jesus is God's Son and that God sent Him to
die for us so that we could have the gift of eternal life.
John 3:16
2) Repent and be converted. Acts 3:19
3) Confess your sins. 1 John 1:9
4) Receive Jesus...and He will come into your heart. Rev. 3:20

By admitting to yourself they were mistakes proves they were all learning expierences. On to the next lesson, the sooner the better. But dont repeat the same mistakes, or it was a waste of time. No one is exempt from making mistakes. But admitting it and moving on with the knowledge learned is progress.

All I'd say to this question Is "take the good from your past and allow it to make you grow and kick the bad moments to the curb". As to the point of start, I'd say what the heck give it a try, start it right now.

You'll laugh at this. I became a Christian on a Tuesday in a Christian Pastor office. When I left I thought,"This news is incredible! This preacher guy should have weekly meetings open to the public and TELL everybody!"

Then I remembered.....oh yeah,...church.

Act now, while God is calling. Call a Christian Pastor or email me.

You will go on making mistakes, the important thing is to learn from them.

Each one has a valuable lesson wrapped in it.

You've obviously started making the change already...

Its always time to start a new leaf, clean slate or whatever you want to call it. Don't moan about your past mistakes if you don't plan on changing them, start now and don't look back. (I learned it the hard day)

Repent (change) now;
Forget it 1 second later;
then make the best possible the remainder of your life!

You know the most thing I like in your question is admitting the truth & the best moment for the starting is now.
"Jesus replied, "No one who puts his hands to the plow & looks back is it fit for service in the kingdom of God."
Luk 9:62
God bless you
