No difference. They are both beliefs without evidence or contrary to evidence. The motto, in both cases, "Don't confuse me with the facts." Maybe they are both based on anxiety, too. Some people will take anything that they think will soothe them!

Good question

Faith is a broader term and is a matter of belief at heart, without the need for proof.

Supersition however is defined as a set of practices that have no basis and no logic behind it.

Supersition is easily recognizable whereas faith is not.

Supersition is rooted in culture irrespective of religion. Made up very easily, gets a lot of hype for a good amount of time and then disappears or changes form.

Faith perseveres, and stands by the trial of centuries without change.

Superstition has nothing to do with faith. Faith is belief in something unseen, and not needing proof of it in order to believe. You just KNOW it exists, it's innate. Superstition is a belief that is accepted blindly. I don't see that these are the same in reference to faith in God.

Faith is when you have enough trust built up to trust someone (i.e. God) on his word. In that sense, faith is backed by reason.

Superstition, however, is based on foolish conceptions that are neither based in history or logic.
