Wrap the heads of garlic in aluminum foil and put in a hot oven on 375 for about twenty minutes. Take the garlic out when done and let cool. Then squeeze the roasted garlic out into a bowl. That's all you have to do. The roasting makes the garlic have a sort of sweet nutty flavor and it takes away the spicyness.

How to Roast Garlic:
1 head garlic
1 teaspoon extra virgin olive oil
1. Preheat the oven to 425F.
2. Remove the outer papery covering of the garlic. Slice off the top of the head so most of the cloves are exposed. Place on a square of aluminum foil for easy cleanup, or select the smallest baking dish you have. Drizzle the oil over the cloves. Fold the foil over the head to completely enclose it, or cover the baking dish with foil.
3. Roast for about 45 minutes, until the garlic is completely soft and lightly browned.
4. To serve, separate the head into individual cloves. Allow your guest to squeeze out the softened garlic as needed. Or squeeze out the cloves into a small serving dish. If you have leftovers, squeeze out the pulp into a small dish, cover with olive oil, and store, tightly covered, in the refrigerator for up to 1 month.

Looks like almost everyone agrees... simply put your garlic head in the oven and roast it with alittle oil. (cut off the rooted end of the garlic first)
Do not waste money on a so called garlic roaster !! Any pan will do, it's simply an oven, no special gadgets needed !!!

you can roast it in the oven by cutting of the ends and taking out of skin and putting in a piece a foil, drizzle with some oil and cook for about 20-30 mins in an oven set at 350.
you can also buy it at any grocery store. around here it usually cost about $2.

You can buy roasted garlic...but it sucks. I recommend roasting it yourself. It is very simple. Check out these instructions here:

Place it in a pan with some olive oil over it and pop it in the oven. 350 degrees should do it. Go to www.foodtv.com and find out there.

I make roasted garlic the same way as Poutine. I don't know if you can buy it. Why would you? It's cheap and not at all difficult.
