I just got some old photo albums from my Mom and the pictures are very hard to remove, she even tore some trying to get them out. The photo albums are the old kind that the photo stick to the page and cellophane covers them. These are great old family photos and I want to save them, what is the best way to get them out without destroying the pictures.

Try using dental floss... slide it behind the pictures and gently and evenly pulll from top to bottom of picture with both hands. Good luck.

Hopefully they aren't double sided, that way you could just cut them out and put them in your new photo album. If they are adhered on two sides of one page you can scan them and reprint them on Kodak paper. if you don't have a scanner take them to Kinko's, Staples or Office Max, it'll cost a little, but they'll save you alot of time and energy.

Besides they are great old family photos:)

Have you tried steam?

Get a sponge with nail polish remover and wet the back of the paper and the pictures will remove easily.
