The Global War on Terror will probably not be ending for at least a deacade, but Iraq should be calmer in a year or two.

No this has been going on for thousands of years, and there is no end in sight. The Iraqi people are fighting to save their resources from being took out from under them by the big oil barons, and in case you don't know it Bush is an Oil man, so this is the sole purpose that he ordered the illeagal invasion and occupation of Iraq. He thought it would only take a couple of months to have the keys to Iraq but it looks like the keys are lost and he will not be handed over the keys to Iraq. Think about it, it kind of puts things into perspective and makes sense as to why the patriot act is always changing to cover the Administration, kind of nice to make up the laws as you go huh?

Nope. It's a great distraction for our govt.
Distraction from the rising oil prices, the lack of health care, the drop in wages, the lies they've told us, the state of social security, the fact that they are selling our highways to foreign companys (who make them into toll roads), Haliburton, illegal immigration, senators who are child molestors and any other issue they don't want us to focus on. They just say, "but remember 9/11... and LOOK OUT another terrorist. Orange alert!" and people don't think about that other stuff anymore. It doesn't matter as much then and they know that!
Don't believe me?? Try paying attention in History class! Wars have been great distractions from economic and other social problems for centuries. You know that saying about those who don't know history are doomed to repeat it?? This is one of those repeats they were talking about! And so was Kuwait. I mean, it got your mind off the fact that Reagan/Bush had sold arms to both Iran and Iraq, didn't it?

NO.........and for ur information this war didnt start from 9/11...It was present since the dawn of christianity, jewish and islam religion...The so called war of crusades and so many wars after that were in some way connected to this...As long as there are different religious beliefs and contrasting faiths this war will continue...it will continue till the day we realize that KILLING EACH OTHER FELLOW HUMANS WHETHER BE IT OF ANYOTHER RELIGION OR FAITH IS NOT THE PATH TO GOD Nore TO HEAVEN....and believe me this fact is stated in all these 3 religions.....ITS JUST THE FOLLOWERS OF RELIGIONS WHO ARE BLIND...

Eventually. The Brits fought in Malaya for 12 years before resolving that conflict.
I don't see this war on terror ending in the next 10 years.
