Hi !!!
If I were you I would bake these "Neiman-Marcus" cookies.

****The website below will tell you the story of this "pricey" cookie recipe.*****

***This is the original recipe of the Neiman-Marcus cookie and it is the recipe that I always use.

NM Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup brown sugar
3 tablespoons granulated sugar
1 egg
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1-3/4 cups flour
1-1/2 teaspoons instant espresso powder, slightly crushed
8 ounces semisweet chocolate chips

Directions
Cream the butter with the sugars until fluffy.
Beat in the egg and the vanilla extract.
Combine the dry ingredients and beat into the butter mixture. Stir in the chocolate chips.
Drop by large spoonfuls onto a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes, or 10 to 12 minutes for a crispier cookie. Makes 12 to 15 large cookies.

********BELOW IS THE STORY OF "GREED" THAT WAS MADE INTO A "LEGEND".

Are you supposed to do a whole meal, or just one dish? If you're doing just one dish, you could do this:

If you must make it in class:

1. Bake a batch of maraschino cherry brownies.
2. Cut into serving-sized pieces.
3. Ice with fudge frosting.
4. Top each with a cherry.
5. Place brownies into a carry-container and take home.
6. Place crumbs from cutting brownies on a serving tray.
7. Garnish with cherry stems.

Otherwise, just bring brownie crumbs and cherry stems on a serving tray to class.

If you have to do a whole meal, just follow the above theme. Don't do an outlandishly large meal, that would be gluttony.

Go to your nearest Sweet Streets Bakery and purchase their 7 layer chocolate cake. It is a dense chocolate cake with creamy chocolate frosting in between layers along with a gooey chocolate ganache icing. This has greed written all over it. you can take it out of the box and put it in a cake carrier and pass it off as yours. :) If you have to bake it in home-ec class then I suggest you utilize this recipe:

http://www.dianasdesserts.com/index.cfm/fuseaction/recipes.recipeListing/filter/dia/recipeID/2110/Recipe.cfm

If you wanted to make this even more rich you could certainly switch out the vanilla cake recipe for a nice chocolate cake recipe. :) I almost passed out reading this recipe.

High end proteins would probably deliver the sin best. A few ideas:

Beef Wellington
Fois Gras with scallops and king crab
King Salmon stuffed with crab

Or do an Indian dish with gold leaf, like Tandoori chicken

They did this on Top Chef...Cliff did Bouillabaisse with a Thai Curry Green Broth...a little over the top.

I would probably do something with A LOT of ingriedients. Maybe Bolognese Sauce...or A big hunk of meat like a roast...that would be cool.

Good Luck
