My Girlfriend's parents feel that she is too young to commit herself to one guy. She is 16 and i am 17. They just found out last week and now they are telling her she cannot be with me, she cannot have a bf and she is grounded until they are sure she is no longer with me. There has to be something either she or I can do to change their minds. Please Help

Try saying some good things about yourself. If you are a Boy Scout then tell her parents. Parents love Boy Scouts. Or if you are a straight A student tell them that. Let them know that you are worthy of thier daughter.

Go and talk to them. Most parents of a girl think boys go study with a girl so he can have sex with her. I'm not saying you do or not but you need to talk to them and at least make them believe you care to much for her to have sex with her but yet not care too much because then parents don't like that also. Its a we like each other and enjoy going to dances, movie, amusement parks. Things that other people are around and thing people do with another person that's not romantic or at least leading to more then kissing. I'm sure you will do romantic things and how much you do is up to you and her but don't try to get her to do things to show her love. Moms and dads don't like it and anything she does should be because she wants to. If you want any more information from me just ask

You need to make her parents convinced that you are a good, and decent friend to their beloved daughter. Though it might take some time to convince them, but you like her. This is the way you prove your sincerity, right?

Your girlfriend's parents are very protective of her. Gain their trust, and I have no doubt that once this is achieved, they will concede to let you take their daughter out.
