when do employers have to have employess there w2 forms buy?
ive been told the end of jan but my employer said the end of feb?

Your employer must submit them to the IRS by the end of February, but must mail them or hand them to you by January 31st. If he is confused, he will also be poorer in due course because there are penalties for not issuing W-2's by the correct date.

They have to have them in mail by January 31st. You may receive it in as late as early February.
