You know what really pisses me off though, is the fact that all you hear is 3 soldiers killed today on the news, but if it is a member of the press, a humanitarian or the like killed in iraq, you get week long specials about their life. Like the woman killed a few days ago, we heard all about her wedding planning, but nothing about soldiers killed, just a number. If you heard a little bit about my fellow soldiers/airmen/marines and sailors killed downrange, perhaps people would just stop using us as a political argument and realize that we are your brothers, sisters, husbands, wives, mothers and fathers, ones who knew the risks but asked for nothing other than an opportunity to serve our great country. I don't care about bush or any of the politicians, but i love this country and my fellow soldiers.

There is a group that shows it's appreciation of all our military is doing in Iraq/Afghanistan. Whether the troop comes home in a casket or walking off a plane, this group, when invited, is there to show a great big welcome and honor that troop. How can YOU be involved? Go to the following website and read about it. You don't have to be a vet or a biker to be a member of the PATRIOT GUARD RIDERS, you just have to be willing to stand for those who have stood for us. Costs nothing to join, no dues, no meetings. Check out the pics in the photos section (your state?). And then do a web search on the sick, hate filled group that caused this wonderful PGR group to be formed: westboro baptist church in topeka, ks.

Believe it or not the soldiers out there arent doing it for Bush.
They dont care or arent even aware of the idiot politicans who would think and act different if their kids werent the pilots and officers safe out of harms way.
If their family members were on the ground, in harms way, policies would be created real quick.
Nope, our soldiers do it for the guys next to them, for their familes they provide for, and because they have a deep allegiance to the ideals behind this great country of ours, not allegiance to the idiot spineles leaders that currently hold position

Possibility of them being relatives of any of the instigators of this illegal war on a scale of 1 to 10 ,,ZERO.The same people as we speak are planning , with Israel as the largest Cheerleader to attack Iran. The result of that will be a massive increase in the death of your Citizen,s and relatives and will not help Israel but will have the reverse effect then that hoped for by the neo cons in Wasington.
Those giving their precious lives for this exercise in insanity are most likely Black/Mexican or poor White folks. You should be talking or writing to your local politicians to ask them this question and remember it in 2008.

as a veteran of oif i realized the danger. every solider may it be active, reserve or national guard took a oath. we train hard to be ready to be called upon. when your over there you tend to get numb to the fact that death could happen ANYTIME. ive lost several buddies but they died for a reason. as a soldier its not what your thoughts or beliefs are, its get the job done and come home. sopmetimes we have to make the ultimate sacriface to secure freedom.

The most simplistic answer I can think of is because Freedom isn't free.
Oh, and Laura should be tarred and feathered.

This is what happens in a war. People die. Good people, honorable people who volunteered to serve their country. God bless them and their families.
