A couple thousand years ago the middle east was set on a course where tribal leadership was the model. Very similar to the fuedal lords of Europe. The people of Europe found an escape to their situation and left for the Americas and defied the norm by saying that people had the right to self government. They had to fight for that right... and won. The middle east was left to its tribal leadership/dictatorship ways. The concept of self government has taken hold in many parts of the world and it is still spreading. As the world becomes more connected and information spreads, dictators and tribal leaders feel very threatened.... and rightly so. They don't want to give up the life they are accustomed to. Like the Europeans a few hundred years ago, the people of the middle east are seeing a way for a better life. The United States is to blame for this "democratic fever" and therefore receives the majority of attacks to prevent its spread. To secure the blessing of liberty, the fight that started in Lexington a couple of hundred years ago must continue. It has been said, as long as all men do not have liberty, there will be those who will try to take liberty from those who do have it. That is the reason behind the war on terror.

They're not. They're using the "abolition of terrorism" as an excuse to spy on their citizens and pass whatever unConstitutional laws they feel like. Terrorism is unabolishable (if that's a real word...) You can't get rid of it. The USA is just pretending to try to abolish terrorism, while really just ignoring real problems that happen on their own soil. There's still poverty. There's still violence. There's still prejudice. There's still pollution. There's still crime. And guess what? There's still terrorism!

Only those who practise it can abolish it - If USA want to abolish terrorism,it is stating that it is practising terrorism and wants to end this practise.
Precisely what it is doing in Iraq today - practising terrorism-and wants to end it , by abolishing it after Iraq comes under US Control.
Incidentally can someone define" terrorism" so that we can understand what is going to be abolished!!

Do u wanna hear different point of view?

USA is not interested in abolishing terrorism more than other countries. Lets give some facts, how many terror acts were there in USA except on 9/11? Maybe, u can count them with fingers. And then compare it to the terror acts that are in europe, south-east asia, and russia even~
US government is just using "terrorism" for its own plans and interests... Besides, they are using US citizen's money, you guys are paying for all of it, not government. Its just Bush is fighting for the interest of other people (including his dad's). Second of all, It's just revenge for his father's losing the war in more than a decade ago.

There is no definite terrorists in the world to fight with.
If USA consider some radical islam groups as terrorists, and innocent people suffer from it, then not only "radicals" consider US government terrorist, but whole Islam world have bad image about all Americans.

By the way, terrorism was created by US to fight with USSR.
So~ You guys choose better government next time.

By the way~ If you have enemy that has all the guns around him, but you have no money no gun to fight with him, you just have two hands and two legs, what would you do? Imagine he wants to control you, your freedom. That's how those radical islamists think when they fight!

The problem is US should get rid of its bad "motives" like controlling all world...

US is great now, it may hurt some of you, but it will shrink to very humble size. History is like that, see how mighty Romans, Arabs, Mongols, USSR, Spain, Great Britain were.

It's just matter of time~

But dont worry, we wont see it... i dont believe in miracles~

TERRORISM IS A GLOBAL PROBLEM AFFECTING MANY COUNTRIES . USA IS A VERY RICH COUNTRY AND HAS ENOUGH RESOURCES, FUNDS AND MANPOWER TO COUNTER TERRORISM. USA IS TAKING STEPS TO ERADICATE GLOBAL TERRORISM IN A BIG WAY AFTER 9/11 ATTACK SINCE THE TERRORIST ORGANISATIONS HAVE STARTED TARGETING USA ALSO. SO USA NEEDS TO REACT NOW OR FACE SUCH ATTACKS IN FUTURE ALSO.

To save their country from terrorism they don't want another 9/11, unlike our country where after so many blasts and terrorist attacks we can do nothing.
