Television, the radio, and not even the internet will provide you with any rational truth. You may disagree, but think about wisdom and knowledge. Knowledge is gained by studying and wisdom is gained by life experience or pondering. If you haven't ever been Muslim, or if you don't know a Muslim, or if you haven't even SEEN a real Muslim, don't you think you should keep your nose out of anything related to Islam?

I know a Muslim who taught me the true teachings of the Qu'ran. That is MY source.

5 Muslims who would disagree? The only Muslims who would disagree are what I would call radicals. The moderates believe in peace and sharing it with others. They pray to God all day.

I am a non-Muslim who happens to be an atheist. For me, all religions have the same basic flaw -- they require that one believe in the existence of one (or more) super-natural deities. The inability to believe in God is precisely what keeps me from being a Christian. It would also prevent me from becoming a Muslim, where the consequences of my atheism would be much more severe. With all due respect, the first step toward faith has to be knowing that God is real, and that is something I have never been able to do. Edit: I do agree with "yarn whore" (above) in that moderate muslims need to do something to curtail the actions of the extremists within Islam, before you can expect moderate Christians to show much interest in Islam. As an American, I find the total absence of Muslim liberals and moderates working for peace most disturbing. If Islam is truly a religion of peace and love, where are those who love peace? May your faith bring you peace and contentment.....

You have allowed a Muslim who already is brainwashed to tell you what you should believe. God will lead you to the correct religion if you would ask Him. Unfortunately, Islam has been shoved into everyone's face by the Islamic terrorists, clerics, countries, the leaders of Islam. We haven't falsely invented any opinion of Islam. Muslims have provided the proof for us.

May God Bless you.

Yes I have.

And when a friend of mine, so passionately asked me what I would do if people in my religion wanted to kill him for not believing in Islam, I just sat there for a minute and said: theres no such thing in Islam. And all he could do was stare at me in disbelief.

People tend to let the media get too much credit for being comprehensively honest.

I agree. This goes for all of mankind as well. It is so easy for people to be ignorant because ignorance comes cheap.

That's what you think. I could find 5 muslims in one day who would disagree with your interpretation. Now what?
