I'm 16 and I've had 2 girlfriends... neither of them were very serious, though one lasted a year... and for that year we hung out once out of school, and we kissed once (party thing at school... >.>) it wasn't even a real kiss... my dogs done more... o.0 oh, and we didn't talk for like 4 months, maybe more... xD

Your not all that rare, dont worry.
Some people can handle relationships in high school and some can't so its kind of just a to each his own kind of deal.
