You probably are allergic to things and just don't realize it. This happens to a ton of people. The other ting that could be causing your stuffy nose is a deviated septum, but if your septum was seriously deviated enough to keep you from breathing properly, a doctor would have noticed by now.
Your best bet is a decongestant (like sudafed) and a nasal spray (like nasocort). You can also try Afrin, but don't use it for more than 3 days or it will make your stuffiness worse!

I was that way for years. It was always one side of my nose that was plugged. Not running but plugged it seemed. So I mentioned it to my allergy specialist and he prescribed Flonase. It works great, I just have a difficult time using it because it goes directly to the back of my throat, I think it's because I got my adenoids removed. Whatever the case it did work, but I had to deal with the taste in the back of my throat. You may think that you don't have any allergies but you may have developed some. So, go to the doctor and get some nasal medication/ allergy medication. Another thing that helps allergy sufferer's is using a humidifier.

Good luck,

I've had breathing problems for years. Last year, my doctor prescribed Nasonex to help with nasal congestion and I haven't had a problem since. Talk to your doc.
