I was addicted to Xanax, ativan and soma (a muscle relaxant). In my case, I needed more help and had to go to a hospital to get off all those pills. It can be VERY dangerous coming off that stuff without help because you can have seizures if you're not careful. Please make sure you're not alone for any length of time. The doctor put me on an anti-seizure medication that is non-narcotic and helped with the anxiety and any cravings (Topamax). Don't be afraid to talk to your doctor about it, he can't make you go to rehab if you don't want to- but I highly recommend you consider treatment since addiction normally doesn't just go away. What are you going to do the next time you get nervous and panicky? Do you have the skills to deal with anxiety on your own? If not, it's very likely you'll turn to pills or some other substance again. In treatment or counseling, you'll learn how to deal with all that and get the skills you need to cope. Good luck!

No i have not been addicted to that, but i have been addicted to other kinds like it, and you need to be really cariful when you are trying to wean yourself of a medication, casue if you do it wrong you can make things up to 10 times worst then they were before you started to take it. So you should be going to the doctor who gave it to you an have him take you off of it, cause it sounds like you are having side effects now from trying to wean yourself off of it . You need to slowly take the dose down every 3-4 days, and that will quit that shaking and that, but i still would like you to see a doctor , cause it sounds like you are having some serious withdrawals already, and you need to get that checked out as soon as possible.

I believe I am to some degree; if I go too long without it I get will get sassy and will rip any ones head off that gets on my nerves. I can take 5,1mg tablets in one day; I know that is alot but my condition is severe. I doubt the xanax is causing the depression or causing the weakness. You will need to talk to the Dr. about cutting down or getting off the medication. I understand it is very difficult to do on your own.

Oh more times than I care to mention sweetie. I know the exact feeling and I have had to remind myself that I am an adult .. and that I could go to JAIL for ripping a kids face off! lol (Ok, well that exact thought has never quite come to mind but giving them a da*mn good shake sure has!) ;-) Matter of fact just this week I had to contain myself because my son won 2nd place at the science fair and all these kids started giving him cr*ap because I was in charge of it. Well ... I certainly didn't do the judging so I had nothing to do with that. I just set it all up. I wanted to march over to his classroom and start "rippin"! lol Luckily his teacher calmed me down and I was fine. ;-) My son is just such a truly sweet boy as is your daughter ... and it kills him when someone gets mad at him or wants to tear him down for no reason. Your daughter is going to be just fine ... although she may get hurt from time to time I hope she always maintains her sweet heart and willingness to be a friend. It is, I have found, a much more rewarding way to live in the end ... Peace and calm to you! =) *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* P.S. Apple juice although I don't care much for either! =D

Cut them in half & take 1/2 tab for a week. Then cut back to 1/2 tab every other night. By then, you should be able to stop.
If not, let your Doctor know.
You can also try an herb, valerian, to help with nervousness & anxiety.

Xanyx is highly addictive...i suggest going to support group or seeing a drug counciler...either way you don't have to suffer alone.
