Hello, I'm French, I'm sixteen, and I want to know why everybody make fun of French?

Because of jealousy!! French is a very delicate language. I like its sound very much though I once tried to learn it but I didn't continue since I found its grammar very difficult.
If it is not jealousy, it is anger because they cannot pronounce correctly that special sound of your "R"!!

Do you mean the language or the country on the whole?
Country: goes back to WWII and the fact that many of the allied countries felt like they had to bail out the French army a lot.
Language: I just heard something on the radio about the French government offering lessons in "pompous" French (language and idioms) to English-speaking tourists. The idea was a "make fun of yourself and the bullies will laugh with you, not at you" sort of thing. See the link below.
Other than that, I think it is only because French is one of the primary romance languages around these days and English is more Germanic. So it sounds different and people make fun of what they don't understand or what is different from them.

It's spelt 'Canadians' only the French are 'Canadiens'. Canadians do not have a bad sense of humour. and of course Canadians make fun of the French Canadiens, they're different from us. It's minus 25 degrees celsius where I live. "Why is it that all Americans are fat and dumb?"

People make fun of everyone and everything... it is part of human nature. Sometimes it is a coping mechanism or a defense mechanism and sometimes people are just ignorant.
Don't let it bother you... join the rest of the world and go find someone to make fun of to make yourself feel better!
Just kidding... making fun of other people is hurtful and juvenile no matter what the motivation. Don't participate and you will be a better person than most.

I don't think people make fun of french!! i've been there last summer.. and when i told it to my friends that i was in Marseille for my holydays, they said: "wow.. we want to go there too.."
i think that people think that french are romantic.. hope it's true!! but i'm sure they don't make fun of you!! my suggestion is: don't care about what they say or do.. they don't know you, so they can not say anything bad..well hope you'll change your mind after reading this..alors.. je vais..hehehe.. aurevoir!!

i think its because france said iraq had no weapons of mass destruction and america would get bogged down in a quagmire in iraq. well it turns out france was totally correct, and for some of the war mongers in the west this breeds resentment of the french
