He doesn't deserve a lick of praise. Take a look around you and look at all the suffering in the world. Rape, murder, torture, war, famine, etc. God could stop all of that with the snap of a finger, but chooses not to. If there was a man who had the ability to stop the suffering in the world, but chose not to, we would hate him. So why is okay for God to be that way?

They praise God to show it off to other people and to keep the emotional bond to this fiction for those already converted. It is part of the emotional manipulation that religion uses to gain converts and keep them. It is like a used-car saleman praising a car for a customer.
It doesn't really matter if God deserves a lick of praise. In Christianity, God is often a nasty, disgusting, violent being. However, Christians cherry pick which verses they show off to praise God and ignore the rest, or just gloss over them. Most of the converts won't look into it that deeply, because they are discouraged from doing so. And there are armies of apologists writing "interpretations" of the more heinous Bible verses in case any converts trip over them. This keeps Christians in ignorant bliss, but at least their belief or "faith" is intact. That's all that's important to religion, keep them from doubting.

Wow, I can't believe you're saying that. I pray God have mercy on you, people died behind words like that. Do you know that there is a Satan? Do you know that all that is in God's hand are good? Do you know that when we pray for other people besides ourselves, we then allow God's hand to move. Prayer moves God, not evil nasty words. YOu need to repent right now, cry out to God and ask Him to forgive you, then come into your life to save you from destruction, and then pray t Him that He can make a change. Rape, murder, torture, war, famine, all this stuff isn't new for God. This stuff is in the bible, which let's you know this, that because all of these terrible things have happened and yet in the midst of all that, the people of God still count Him worthy of being there God, because not only did he saw what happened, he delivered them also. Think about blaming Satan before mentioning God's name. After all Satan 3 main agendas are to steal, kill, and destroy. Yes, most people blame God for everything....but if they knew God, knew that this was a war between good and evil..knew that satan is the other player, knew that God will end all of this suffering etc, knew that He has to let it play out to its end so that all the angels etc will see how evil sin is..the suffering etc that it causes....then noone in heaven will ever question God again..noone will ever be like satan who thought he could be like God, better than God when he was in heaven..then those who blame God for everything would have a better understanding of all that is going on and put blame where it belongs..would understand that God hates to see anyone suffer..but if he just stopped everything, then another wonderful angel might begin to question Him about sin..and may challenge His authority again...would we want this to happen so that all of this just starts over again? Or would we prefer to gather people unto God so that they might be saved and be in heaven with our Creator...and never have to fear that sin would rear its ugly head again. If we all were closer to God, He would give us the strength to go through these horrible things. Please re think where you are laying the blame...please consider the whole picture. God Bless.

I feel sorry for people who do not KNOW God therefore they do not KNOW love. For God is Love.
True Christians do not go around murdering, raping, molesting, stealing, lying or any of the other evil acts of this world.
People that commit these crimes have left GOD far behind them and THEREIN LIES THE WHOLE PROBLEM.

If you sacrificed your son in order to show man how to eliminate murder, rape, etc. you would probably think you deserved praise. This is exactly what God actually did. He told us to love our neighbor as our self and to love Him with all our heart mind and strength. God deserves all of our praise. I can't think of any other of God's creatures that sin. Only the ones that He gave freedom of choice to. Man.

time to lay some concrete...okay were to begin..o yeah satan is the one causeing all these problems why would some as good as god do such a thing...and if you read the bible yoll see that there is a promise and in the not so distant future...im guessing 2-3 years arrmaggeddon will come about wiping the earth clean except those who choose to fallow god, and the earth will be turned into a paradise...

The suffering in this world is caused by the "freedom of choice"gift that God gave everyone. God does Not cause the suffering.The people of this world are to care for those who are suffering,and most are not doing their job.How dare you blame my Father. That's not God's job, that's man's job. MAn has created the world in his own image. When God was running things, what you spoke of didn't happen. Then man became corrupt and took what he wanted to take and then weasled out of it by assigning blame to other people and other things.
Those who follow God, religiously, don't rape, don't torture, don't maime, don't murder.
