No. Non-violence worked for Gandhi against the British, who were civil rational people. Try that crap-ola with some Islamic extremists, and your "non-violence" will get you gleefully slaughtered.

RELEVANCY of anything is like asking an opinion. Who needs to be taught? Its more about openness to your surroundings. Teachings do change according to place of mental surrounding...,what matters more is the right , or near to the right interpretation of the Authentic Teacher..! It was about how he lived in so called NON violence , which became a lesson , a tool to wipe out oppression in a way more Human...!! That means his teachings are definitely relevant to the Understanding one's who are more close to being a human.
