I'm not a Christian, I'm a Muslim guy. But I'm interested in knowing what's the story of Daniel in short? Who was he?

Daniel was a Jewish prophet during the time of the Jews being in captivity in Babylon. King Nebuchadnezzar ordered the people to bow to an idol of the king, but Daniel & his 3 Jewish friends refused, because idolatry violates 1 of the 10 commandments. They were thrown into a fiery pit, but their G-d saved them.
Then, another time, Daniel was thrown into a lion's den for disobeying a command to stop praying to any other "god" besides the Babylonian king. When Daniel refused to stop praying to his G-d, he was thrown into a lion's den, but G-d sent an angel to keep the lions from eating Daniel. He was saved from death again.
This can all be found in the book of Daniel in the Scriptures.

Daniel was a Prophet & many visions he saw, John the Revelator also saw. as far as the story of Daniel, I do not have enough space & time to bring out every little detail.

A Jew who was carried into Babylon by the Persians conquerors of that day. He was a prophet and a government official. His book describes what will happen throughout history.

Daniel is a guy that always obey God, when he was send to study in babylon, God tells him to be a vegetarian and he obeys him, and he become 10x smarter than the other students.
he always pray to God and the king of babylon loves him so much because his kindness and Daniel becomes one of the great men in the kingdom.
people are jealous to him and they try to make a rule about kneel to a STATUE, the statue of king of babylon, there's a law in bible that says "DONT KNEEL or PRAISE OTHER GOD THAN ME(Jesus) and DONT MAKE STATUE TO BE PRAISED" so, Daniel obey God's law and he is punished,
they threw him to the LION's den and HE DIDNT DIE, GOD is WITH HIM, PROTECTING HIM
