What is going on with the computer.. experts...I am over my head.?
I had a problem in hotmail messages showing as HTML text and nothing helped. This only happened when I used foxfire..but when I used IE all was readable and fine.
So I uninstalled foxfire and then reinstalled the latest version..but problem still there..so I did a system resote 2 days back. When it was done I clicked on firefox (I reinstall again and did older version BTW) and go the message foxfore needs to close it has encountered a problem,..you may lose unsaved data. So I tried it again..same message. I tried it a dozen times still the same so then I did a 2nd system restore gong back 4 daus..when I clicked on deskltop icon foxfire, I got the same foxfire need to close encountered problem..again goes this message several times. I cannot get on the internet when using foxfire..What's going on..why did it not restore it to before when it was fine..How can I use foxfire to get on the

internet..why won't it let me & what should I do now..be easy to understand as I'm pretty new The question I want answered is about foxfire refusing to open and giving me that message 25 times in a row so I can't get online (using foxfire) how can fix it??

I've found that many Microsoft sites don't show correctly in Mozilla, like Windows Update. Be sure to update to the latest version of Mozilla (2.x) and that may take care of it. Meanwhile, check out the link below for more info about Hotmail and Mozilla.

I think you need to try and do one thing at a time. That way it may be easier to diagnose the problem. I'll suggest the following:

1. Uninstall Firefox using "add/remove programs" from the Windows control panel

2. Run your virus checker and also an adware remover, in fact run two - Adaware (www.lavasoft.de) and Spybot (not sure the url for it).

3. Restart the PC

4. Download a fresh copy of Firefox and try an install.

By restoring the system you may be just complicating things. If this doesn't work then I think you need to find some local help.

Persevere with Firefox as it will save a lot of problems visiting some sites. I only use IE if the web site doesn't comply with W3C HTTP standards (like Miscrosoft).

Listen IE is the most popular web browser so lots of web page and ISP supports IE. I used to use opera oneday i went to a website they told to visit the site through IE to see everything in it. Use IE 7 its gr8.

Try another browser, like Opera... if you still have problems then reinstall windows
