The design consists of two parts:
1) The minimum length (L) of the bridge should be 30cm.2) The minimum operating width (B) of the deck should lie between 20 cm and 25 cm .3) The minimum height (H) of the bridge deck from the ground should be 35 cm.4) the over hang span must be minimum a =0.4L on both side equal over hang5) A smooth continuous bridge deck for vehicular traffic must be provided along the entire span of the bridge.
6) A moving load will be applied on the deck of the bridge.
7) The Bridge is to be built in advance.
Definition of Failure:If structure fails, Or the excessive buckling of bridge column, or the brake of any part of structure happen, when the load carrying trolley over its deck.
NO REPAIRS MAY TAKE PLACE ONCE THIS TEST IS STARTED. ANY TEAM CAUGHT DOING SO WILL BE DISQUALIFIED1. The materials specified are standard popsicle sticks (ice-cream sticks), standard adhesive, threads.. Teams using unapproved materials will be disqualified.

Part of Rule 2 appears to be missing, but you should know that when properly hardened, regular white glue (especially if thinned out a bit with water, so it penetrates better) is MUCH stronger than solid wood.

i did this in school. the hint i'll give you is that you cut each stick in half giving you twice as many to work with, and it will be more stable because it will be smaller
