ok so ive been dating this guy for like over a month now, and i reeeealy like him! hes like perfect for me! the problem is that my best friend says that she doenst like him. and its for like stupid things that just make him who he is. like he'll joke with me about how hes together with the school nurse, but of course hes not! she say that hes bad. but i know him, my sister knows him, and ive talked to people who have dated him and they say hes fine. i know that he is, but no matter what i say she wont listen. is she jealous that i have someone in my life besides her? could she like him? what????

Both of those are possibilities. You may feel a little better if you explain that you really value her friendship- But if you can't discuss your guy without tension- make that a taboo subject.

There may be a few reasons why your friend is acting like this...yes she may be jealous that you have a boyfriend now...which ofcourse means...more time spent with him...and she gets left behind...she probably thinks that you've been or are going to stop hanging out with her because you've got a boyfriend now..she may feel replaced..
it doesnt sound to me that she likes him...it just sound that she is insecure about the friendship and thinks that she may slowly loose you as a friend since you wont be spending much time together.
have a day where its just you and her..have a girls night in or something..to make her feel like she is still appriciated and that you wont leave her alone just cause you have a boyfriend now.

You hit the nail on the head when you said that she's jealous that you have someone else in your life. Let me guess she's single yeah?? HAHAHA Some people can't stand to see other people happy. Enjoy your relationship and tell your friend to grow up.

yes she could be jealous, if this is the case make sure she knows that there is room for both of them in your life.
some girls make the mistake of forgetting they even had a best friend once they get a guy they really like.
remember if something goes wrong with this guy you will want your friend to be there.
it could also be because she likes him, or maybe she is just looking out for her friend and doesn't want you to get hurt. you will never really know unless you talk to her about it.
she could know something "bad" about him and doesn't want to hurt you, or it could be the simple fact that she's scared she will lose her friend to this guy

sounds like it... i would think that shes jealous... or likes him herself... i understand that u are friends but u should really tell her that u dont like this... and if she doesnt like him that her comments are best left to herself... that u respect her opinion but that her opinions are making it hard to be friendly with her... u know... tell her that no guy is worth ur relationship and that ur life and hers are seperate.. and that u have all the right in the world to make bad decisions...
another thing.. tell her that if he does turn out to be an ***, ull let her say that she told u so... and see how she reacts to that...
but id seriously let her know that if she cant keep her comments to herself that u will distance urself from her not because of him, but because of her

Is she single by chance? Maybe she likes being single but doesn't want to be the only one. If you were her single friend she may feel left out a bit now that you attention is more on him. Tell her to grow up.

Keep an open mind dont leave him dont hate her she could b overzealous in protecting you keep them both love the guy see how it goes however its good to b careful as with all relationships

She is very jealous. Maybe because she likes hom or maybe because she thinks that her friendship with you will be affected.
