It CAN be that way----for if you truly love God you will want to pray and adore Him----and then you will want to please Him------so therefore you will want to do the things that are pleasing to Him and avoid doind things that displease Him.

God sent his only begotten son Jesus to live on the earth as the epitome of a Christian. Although Jesus underwent constant temptation from Satan, he remained faithful in following God's will and The 10 Commandments. Jesus was sent as ransom, to make up for Adam and Eve's sin. The ransom was complete as Jesus died an agonizing death so we could have everlasting life in Heaven. God continuously blesses you in so many ways when you follow his will. Yes, he will still love and forgive you if sin but your life will reflect it. God may deny you the blessings he gives to others who follow his will.

Jesus said why do you say you love me when you do not keep my commands. Jesus said not everybody who calls me Lord will enter the kingdom of God, but only those that do the will of my Father who is in Heaven. The wages of sin is death. So no you cannot become a Christian and live a double life. That will surly land you in Hell to burn with all the other dammed.

Yeah ... Who you love will color what you do. With love what you want changes ...
"Love never gives up. Love cares more for others than for self. Love doesn't want what it doesn't have. Love doesn't strut, Doesn't have a swelled head, Doesn't force itself on others, Isn't always "me first," Doesn't fly off the handle, Doesn't keep score of the sins of others, Doesn't revel when others grovel, Takes pleasure in the flowering of truth, Puts up with anything, Trusts God always, Always looks for the best, Never looks back, But keeps going to the end. Love never dies ..." 1 Corinthians 13 (The Message)

I would say : Love God and do what you want - WITH - the self responsibility and self accountability.
God, all God give us sort of like-the power or the ability to be like God which means to bring about your own creation or your own destruction. So it's up to you.

One-way ticket to hell. If you are not willing to submit to God totally, then you are not a Christian. You cannot with one hand love God and with the other play around in Satan's world. Jesus spoke against this kind of religion. It is called double mindedness and divided loyalty. A house divided must fall. God will only accept all of you, not part of you.

it's not like that sis,we say: do the rights as the god has said in his holy book and then god loves u.
it's verse: if people know that how much god loves them they will get mad and they would be ready to do what he has said.
u know doing what god has said in the place of loving him is the best way.

i don't really get what your question is.
but if your asking if it's right to love God but then apply your own rules to life, then i say it's wrong if you love God, then you should follow and live the way God wants you to.
