Yes, flea bombs would work the best. Then vacuum really well and throw out the vacuum bag when done.

Yes they can survive long after the animal has gone. They lay their eggs in carpets, upholstery & just about anything. They breed fast and once you have an infestation you will have to fumigate all of your house to get rid of the eggs AND larve properly. Try the flea bombs first and you can get sprays for the upholstery etc (ask your local vet) If you have another pet in the future check for fleas regulary as prevention is better than cure. Good luck.

Maybe the cat had nothing to do with it. Why nt get rid of the fleas and give the cat a second chance.

use a flea spray form the vet and spray all furnishings and floorboards and that should do the trick, the spray lasts from 6 months -a yr and fleas dont live long without a host

I read a report once that flea eggs can survive in the environment for at least 65 years. Steam cleaning the carpets, kills the fleas and the eggs. Good luck.

Fleas lay eggs which fall to the floor, they can hatch until 6 month after the cat has been there.
A bomb and lots of vaccuming is a good idea!

your more interested in the fleas than the cat what happened to the cat? i have to cats and they've never had fleas well they don't go out to get them but "spot on" is always use as kittens to kill anything

i have always found it best to let your home get really cold like open windows and doors for a long time they will go away to find a warm place also the booms work good too but you have to cover up stuff like your dishes food ,and if you live in an apt. let the others know when you r going to do this be cause it Will got in their apt. and if they have animals it can kill them too..also they need to be gone to i think it is like 3 hours..good luck you can also have some chem lawn spray your yard for the little pests. do the neighbors have pets..?? and maybe pests too..well good luck.
