She wants you to take more control of things. She is working hard and needs to know that holidays etc are being taken care of. Perhaps you should stop being so passive and start behaving like the solid rock that she needs to support her at this time. Do NOT behave in a clingy way as that will surely kill it. When she comes home she may not feel like talking and just want to chill out for a while - give her this space while you do other things.
Just be a little more pro-active!

Asking questions like that are usually a girl's way of giving you a big hint to get going and organise something.
If she is always the one to think up fun and special stuff for you two to do together, maybe its time for you to roll up your sleves and get stuck in.
Plan a great Valentine's Day surprise for her - don't ask her or tell her ahead of time. We all love to hear things like, "Don't worry, it's all taken care of, just be ready at 8 and dress to kill."
Why don't you plan a summer holiday for the two of you. If she's said she wants to go way in the summer with you - that's the green light.
It seems like you're lacking a lot of confidence here, hence asking us for advice. Take the leap and be a more active member in your relationship.

Wait for her to come back and talk to her! There is no point in stressing out. Us women are strange creatures at times and there are a million things that may be going on in our heads- sometime you boys think we're distance- we think of it as busy and pre-occupied!

She could be seeing someone else. Are she could be stressed out at work, either way stop calling her, let her make the next moves( if they happen at all) and don't rush to call her back either.

Why not wait till she gets back, then sit her down and have a good talk to her.
May be work is getting her down, why not suggest a weekend away together.
