if it is determined that the spiral organ of corti is the source of the problem,which region of the organ would be defective? is this conduction or sensorineural deafness?

Conduction defect is usually the cause of children unable to percieve high pitched souunds. Many require a hearing aid to assist them with speech.

I had to go to speech theapy for most of my school life, and i have known people that have had problems with s's and still do, So people just have trouble saying certain sounds, and that is about all there is too it most of the time. sometimes it could be of a more serious problem, but most of the time it is just a little speech problem that sometimes gets better, an sometimes it does not. I would not worry about it or have them telling you things to worry you. if in doubt then go and see another doctor, and another doctor.
