i ask myself this question also... and here is another thing... i am american.. but thats not the other thing... there are 2 more sports called handball... a european one and an american... so thats out of the question to be named that... it should be called tackle-ball.. bc u takle the person that has the ball... doesnt that make more sense... its ****** up how out off all the countries in the world that call soccer"football" we are the only ones that dont...
i think its because americans enjoy the hate of the other countries... i mean why else would we so seriously try to seperate our selves from all other cultures?

this question is in the wrong section!!!! but we do kick the ball and it comes from rugby and it had more kicks in it when it started. Oh and by the way there is a game called handball, its like racketball and/or tennis but they use their hands and not a racket.
