Buddhist philosophy actually requires evolution to take place - all things are seen as being transient, constantly becoming, existing for a while and then fading.

Rebirth is spiritual Evolution is bodily.
in Buddhism we can believe in Evolution but when we say Re-birth we mean our spirit passing into another body.
So yes it is compatible :)
