Is there any techology that helps the disabled live independently?

I am a 17 year old guy suffering from Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Is there any robot or technology which helps people like me live independently ?

JD I am sure you know some DMD support groups already. The technology differs in what exactly is made to support what body organ. Your neurologist or therapist would be the best resources to discuss anything that you could get to improve quality of life. omplete independance, may not be possible though. Your neurologist would be the best start though, good luck
