What are the symptems of heart failure?

Most of the symptems and signs of heart failure are due to congestionand fluid collection in the lungs,legs,abdomen etc and the inability of the heart to pump efficiently to meet the demands of the organs and tissues in the body.There is a mismatch between demand and supply.
There could be breathlessness, which could be exaggerated uncomfortable awareness of breathing.The description of this sensation is various:-
'Air does notgo all the waydown'
'Shortness of breath'
'Heavy breathing'
'Tightness in chest'
'Choking'
'air hunger'
This may come on during exertion in early stages of the disease but may occur at rest when the disease is advanced.There could be breathlessness occuring in lysing posture but relieved on sitting up.
Patients state that they have to sleep on three or more pillows to feel comfortable at night.And then there could be what we call in technical parlance as Paroxymal Nocturnal Dyspnoea(PND) which usually starts 2-4 hrs after onset of sleep.
Patients develop cough and sweating with breathlessness,which is relieved by getting out of bed.
Fatigue and impaired effort capacity are other prominent symptoms of heart failure.
Patients also may report abdominal fullness , leg swelling,nausea and loss of appetite.

Ideal Cholestrol Levels (Recommended)
Total Cholestrol(CHO-PAP)........ Less than 200 mg/dl.
HDL Cholestrol(Direct)............... Less than 40 mg/dl
Triglycerides(GPO)...................... Less than 150 mg/dl
LDL Cholestrol(Direct) ......... Less Than 130mg/dl
Ratio=Total Cholestrol/HDL Cholestrol. Less than 4.5
