My Dog Is barking Out of The window But when i look to see what he is barking at there is nothing there! we live on a hill. and my dog is a cavilier king charles spaniel!

dogs having the the sight to see things better then human because they can only see in shades of white blacks grays . so if they look at the woods there is a possibility that it is seeing a squirrel and you can't see it. but your dog can see it if it only twitch just slightly. so your dog is seeing that little thing every day. and he is letting you know he sees something out there

Our female Boxer barks at EVERYTHING! She went crazy when a hot air balloon flew by the other day. Just because You don't see something doesn't mean something isn't there. If it bothers you try closing the curtains or leave a radio on to cover the sounds outside.

my puppy does this too. he will just look out the window and start barking, its quite scary when its in the night too! but usually he would have just seen a bird/cat/squirrel on his territory!

He is barking at something- even if you cannot see it- he is telling you about it- that is his job-D
