my sister has recently lost quite abit of weight. although she has been eating just as much as she normally eats.
she has been under alot of stress lately and someone pointed out to her that this might be the reason for her sudden drop in weight.
is it possible for someone to loose weight from being stress even though they have stuck to their normal diet. if so how?

There are different types of stress and as people are all different, they can be affected in different ways. Weight loss can be a sympton even though the person eats normally. Best to get a Doctor to check her out just to be on the safe side.

Hi fren. Stress can cause anything to happen. i mean when we r in stress we dont feel like doing anythingfor except worrying about our problems. This affects us physically n mentally as well. When we r eating we dont give proper attention towards it. We simply just eat it . We dont supply any kind of message to the brain becoz we have something else in our mind which causes certain sideeffects like loss of weight even though we eat as much as we used to

what your sister is going through is very, very common. there are many types of stress, just about all of them cause elevated levels of the catabolic hormone cortisol and a slight increase in growth hormone.
