U have no idea how many people have done this. Windows shouldnt make it so easy to mess up the operating system. U will need the xp cd, then click the checkboxes back on again.

Hi there. That's too bad. Found out the hard way ehs? Ok, if you are running Windows XP, try restoring your computer:
To access the System Restore Wizard, click Start, and then click Help and Support. Click Performance and Maintenance, click Using System Restore to undo changes, and then click Run the System Restore Wizard.
To undo an earlier restoration, click Restore my computer to an earlier time in the Welcome to System Restore screen, and then select the relevant restore operation restore point listed in the System Restore Wizard.
If you're using a version below XP (like win 98 or 95), you're out of luck, you need to have the CD to get your stuff back, unless you copied that CD to your hdd (you can then browse to that folder and windows will reinstall your apps/games/etc).
Hope this helps

if you have internet service provider cd reinstale it see if you have internet explorer back it usually puts latest version on,then see if you have enough programs to go online as you can download media player, if you have deleted basic windows files you are in trouble but you can only do that manually not from add remove.or get a friend to download explorer 7 & write it to cd for you, glynn

Yes....And the best way now is to reinstall windows itself completely all over again since you dont exactly know what you have deleted.

Go to your start menu, programs, accessories, and system tools and then down to system restore and take your computer back to a day or so before you deleted everything.
