A Madagascar Dragon Tree is not Toxic or poisonous to a bugdie. I found this information on this site http://www.cottageworks.com/robinsnest/guide.htm it was a real help maybe keep hold of the site name -so no worries your budgie will be fine.

budgies are extremly toxic to madagascar dragon trees,
i suggest that you cut the tree back to the trunk along the branch that has been nibbled to stop the poisen from spreading
then give it plenty of water so that it can flush out its system and leave it in a warm sunny spot and it should recover
it may start to wilt a bit but thats normal after such a trauma

Keep an eye out for any strange behaviour and move the tree, not the budgie ,they get upset even if you move them to a different place in the same room.

Don't you think you should have checked all your houseplants to see if they were poisonous and got rid of any that were? If it is poisonous, what will you do about it now your budgie has eaten some?

You could try calling the ASPCA poison control hotline. They charge a fee, but would probably be able to tell you if its toxic. There number is (888) 426-4435.
